The Library of Hamidia Girls’ Degree College has seen various phases of development since its inception. The library was established with a small collection of books which has grown by time. At present, library houses a collection of about 18000 books. Apart from this, library also have a good collection of reference books, gifted books, remedial books and few rare books which caters to the additional needs of teachers, students and other staff of the college. Further, library has an allocated newspaper reading area where students can read newspapers and magazines subscribed by the library. The library functions with a welcoming approach towards modernization and therefore from time to time library softwares were upgraded, computers were added, books were digitized and subscription to databases like NLIST was taken up.
