Three-day Orientation and Training Programme on ‘Web Designing’ (31st August to 2nd September, 2023)

Three-day Orientation and Training Programme on ‘Web Designing’ (31st August to 2nd September, 2023) is being organized by the Department of B.Voc. Software Technology, Hamidia Girls’ Degree College. On its first day the programme started with an Introductory Session. In this session the participants were informed about the B.Voc. Degree Course running in the college.

Prof. Naseha Usmani, Principal, HGDC, shared her thoughts regarding the importance of vocational education. She talked about the importance of Information Technology in our lives as it helps us to deal with everyday works. Nowadays we need technology in every aspect of our work life. We should make ourselves more aware of the applications of information technology. She sheds light on how this course – B.Voc. (Software Technology) will be helpful to the students in making them more confident in use of Information Technology.

This session was organized and presented by the students of Semester-V, B.Voc. (Software Technology). These students delivered their presentation and engaged the audience in an active session. Ms. Zikra Fahim (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) presented an overview & importance of the course. Ms. Mantasha (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) informed about the departmental activities & Software resources available in the department. Ms. Sana Siddiqui (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) informed the participants about the job roles that will make them industry fit. Ms. Areesha Abdin (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) introduced the participants about Web Designing and its Applications. Ms. Muskan (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) and Ms. Akshan Subhani (B.Voc. ST, Sem-V) provided technical support to their team in their presentation.

Faculty and Staff of the college were also present in this session. Students from different schools and institutions like Hamidia Girls Inter College, St. Anthony Convent School, Impact Girls Inter College, Benhur High School & College, SS Khanna Degree College, Kidwai Memorial Girls Inter College participated in the session.

The Programme was coordinated by Dr. Shabana Aziz, Coordinator, B.Voc.(ST), Ms. Tazeen Fatima and Ms. Roqaiya Ansari Teaching Staff of B.Voc. (ST). The Training session will be continued on the second & third day of the programme.
