The Dept Of English organized a special online lecture on Hamlet on 12.10 23.The Chief Speaker was Prof. L. R Sharma, former Head, Dept of English, AU. Prof. Sharma is a reknowned academician and researcher of great repute. He has seved the University for 40 years and during this period, he has published research papers that have been regularly quoted by scholars of English in England &U. S. A. He has authored notable books on fiction published by national and international publishers of repute. His works on criticism have received global acclaim and recognition.
Through his well researched lecture Prof. Sharma analysed the tragic flaw of his character viz indecisiveness which was the result of his over sensitive temperament.He quoted noted critics like A, C Bradley, S. T Coleridge, G. Wilson Knight, & Phillips Broackbang. He threw light on Hamlet as a victim of Oedipus Complex.
