On the occasion of 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Unity Day was celebrated at Hamidia Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj on 31st October, 2019. On this event Dr. Yusufa Nafees, Principal of the college informed students about the personality and achievement of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Dr. Nuzhat Fatima, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Medieval History organized a speech competition on Iron Man: Saradar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Mrs. Neerja Verma, Associate Professor, Dept. of English, Dr. Shama Rani, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education and Dr. Nuzhat Fatima, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Medieval History were the members of the judgment panel. Ms. Urooj Hashmi, M.A. Sem-III (Medieval History) secured first position, Ms. Huma Arshi, B.A.I secured second position and Ms. Darakshan Begum, M.A. Sem-III (Medieval History) secured third position. All teachers and students of the college were present in the programme.
