Fashion Design & Embroidery, Approved by UGC NSQF
Hamidia Girls P.G. College is running B.Voc in Fashion Design & Embroidery since 2015-16 successfully. This course was upto 7th level of NSQF levels. It is a Bachelor Degree passed by the Act of parliament as well as by the Act of U.G.C. Two batches with 100% result have come out successfully. Distinctive features of this two batches 2018 and 2019 are two – one is that a student has cleared National level test of NIFT and got admission in “Master of Fashion Management (MFM) in Shillong while another student has been placed in “Seams For Dreams” organisation in Bombay.
After screening the working of this Department recently in July 23rd 2019 U.G.C has sanctioned M.Voc, a Post Graduate course in Fashion Design and Embroidery which is of VIII and IX levels of NSQF. Hence the Department has become Postgraduate Department. It maybe known that only two institutions of B Voc level in whole of the state of Uttar Pradesh has received this prestigious reward from UGC. In this way Allahabad girls have got this rare opportunity at their door step.
Hopefully M Voc will add sparkling of vocational opportunities for girls. Though “NO GRANT” has been allocated for M. Voc either by the U.G.C. or University, yet College has accepted this challenge and committed to establish miniature of garment industry for providing full opportunity of experiencing industrial working. The Department has well equipped lab with advanced pattern software, Plotter, industrial machines for Stitching Fusing machine and industrial iron machine for this course. Well qualified teaching staff is available who pays individual attention to each student. After passing the M Voc they can be placed in teaching departments of Degree Colleges, Universities if they clear NET or JRF and in all the Fashion and Garment Industries they can be placed Only 20 seats have been allotted by the UGC. Fee Structure
M.Voc is a two year PG course and each year include two semesters. In total it has four semesters in all to complete VIII and IX levels of NSQF. The fee structure is as follows
1st Semester of VIII level – 20000/- including University fee and SSC (Sector Skill Council) Examination fee, Admission Fee, Lab and Workshop Fee, Tuition Fee and l-card Fee.
lInd semester of VIII level- Rs 20000/- including all
Illrd semester of IX Level- Rs 20000-including all.
IV semester of IX level- Rs 20000-including all
DD of Rs 20000 in favour of the Principal Hamidia Degree College be submitted with Application Form.
After completing VIllth and IX levels of NSQF the M.Voc Degree will be provided by the University of Allahabad (A Central University).
RULES to be followed
1. Wearing I-Card is compulsory.
2. Regular attendance above 75% is necessary
3. Discipline in class and campus has to be maintained
4. Uniform is compulsory
5. Five days classes from Monday to Friday compulsory
6. Projects and Assignments must be submitted in time.
Note:
For any complaint put your request/application with name, class and signature can be put in complaint box hanged on the wall of Fashion Design Lab. Every Friday the applicant will be given chance of hearing for removing her difficulty in Department.
