A two-days International Webinar on the topic “Indian Cultural and Heritage Tourism” was organized by the Department of Medieval History, Hamidia Girls’ Degree College. On August 13, 2020, Prof. Y. Venkata Rao, Department of Tourism Studies, School of Management, Pondicherry University, India delivered a very informative lecture on the topic “Indian Culture and Heritage Tourism” . On August 14, 2020 Dr. Archintya Mahapatra, Department of History and Tourism Management, Royal University of Bhutan, GCBS, Bhutan delivered a very interesting and vibrant lecture on the topic “A Critical Analysis on the Cultural Heritages of a Medieval India”.
Dr. Rehana Tariq, Former Principal & Member, Managing Committee, HGDC was also present in this Webinar. She said that Prayagraj is a city with rich cultural heritage and tourism places. She suggested that tourist places of the city should be added in the syllabus of Tourism Studies. Academicians and research scholars from every states of India and also from abroad participated in the Webinar. Mrs. Tazeen Ahsanulla, Manager, HGDC was the Chief Patron of this Programme. She conveyed her best wishes for the success of this Webinar. Earlier, Dr. Yusufa Nafees, Principal of the college welcomed the resource persons.
