Fourth Day of NSS Seven-Day Special Camp Concludes with Life-Saving Skills Training

The fourth day of the seven-day special camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Hamidia Girls Degree College, a constituent minority college of Allahabad University, was successfully conducted with a comprehensive training session on Life-Saving Skills& First Aid. The day’s activities were organized in accordance with the main theme of the camp, “Youth Empowerment, Digital Development and Sustainability.”
The program commenced with a warm welcome of the guests by NSS volunteers through the traditional NSS clap, creating an enthusiastic and motivating atmosphere. All Programme Officers were present during the session, adding dignity and encouragement to the event.
The training session began under the expert guidance of Mr.Farhan Alam,CPR Man of Prayagraj & Manager Prim Rose Shiksha Sansthan who introduced the basic concepts of first aid and highlighted the importance of quick and correct decision-making in emergency situations. Following this, Farhan Alam (CPR Man, Prayagraj) provided practical training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and demonstrated essential life-saving techniques.
The trainers explained in detail how to handle accident cases, control excessive bleeding, and assist a person suffering from an epileptic seizures. Volunteers were instructed that in case of finding an unconscious or injured person on the road, they should immediately inform a doctor or emergency medical services before administering proper first aid.
Special emphasis was laid on the ABC procedure recommended by medical professionals:
A – Airway,
B – Breathing,
C – Circulation.
Students were given practical demonstrations and hands-on training to ensure they could respond effectively during emergencies.
Along with physical first aid, equal importance was given to providing mental and psychological support to victims. Volunteers were guided to remain calm and composed during emergencies and to reassure the injured person until professional medical help arrives. Maintaining patience, alertness, and emotional balance was highlighted as essential for saving lives.
The fourth day of the NSS camp proved to be highly educational, informative, and inspiring for all volunteers. The session enhanced their confidence, developed their decision-making abilities in crisis situations, and strengthened their sense of social responsibility and humanitarian values.
The success of the program was further ensured by the active presence and guidance of NSS Programme Officers Professor Sabiha Azmi, Dr. Shabnam Ara, and Dr. Shabana Aziz, who were present throughout the event and contributed significantly to its smooth and effective conduct.
Thus, the fourth day of the NSS special camp concluded successfully with meaningful and impactful life-saving skills training.
