Facsimile & Deciphered Version of a Manuscript on
Begum Hazrat Mahal, a Women Freedom Fighter during 1857
Under the extension activity, Research Committee along with the Chairman (Principal) visited the Regional Archives, Allahabad to search material on role of women in Freedom struggle of 1857. Dr. Nuzhat Fatima, Guest Faculty, Med. History located an unread manuscript on the struggle of Begum Hazrat Mahal in 1857 manuscript ‘Zafarnama Tarikh-e-Aain-e-Akhtar’ written by ‘Ghulam Haider Sagheer’ in 1859. Mr. A. K. Agnihotri , Regional Officer , Regional Archives, Allahabad extended his kind co-operation to work on the manuscript by providing the scanned copy of it which was read, deciphered and composed by the following :
