Book Exhibition organized at Hamidia Girls’ Degree College on 6th October 2023
In connection with the celebration of Gandhi Week, the Sucheta Goindi Trust & Anant Education Foundation held an exhibition cum sale of Books on Gandhi. The event was organized by Dr. Sabiha Azmi & Dr Shabana Azeez, both Associate Professors in the Dept of English & Persian respectively with the help of Mr. Anil K. Kanojia, Mr. Satyendra & Mr. Kuldeep from Anant Education. The Principal, Prof Naseha Usmani, former Principal Prof Yusufa Nafees & Vice Principal Dr. Amina Farooqi appreciated the efforts of Sucheta Goindi Trust for organizing the exhibition at the College Campus. The focus of the event was to emphasise upon Gandhi’s thoughts, ideals, philosophy and to make the students aware of the supreme sacrifice of the Father of the Nation to win freedom for India in a non violent manner. The entire faculty, Librarian and a host of students went through the books with enthusiasm and purchased them. The books were quite informative and a wave of positivity was felt among the students.
