The Golden Jubilee Celebration of Hamidia Girls’ Degree has been successfully flagged off with the organisation of Raheel Inter School & lnter Collegiate Sports and Athletic Meet, 2025. lt was a one-week event from 17.1.25 – 23.1.2025.
Events:
Races – 100mts, 200mts & 400 mts, Long Jump & Shotput.
The much-awaited sports event received a kick start on 17.1.25
Day 1 – 17.1.25 – On this day, students of Hamidia Girls’ Degree College, assembled in the Sports field of Majidia Islamia Inter College and participated in Races – 100mts, 200mts & 400 mts. They also participated in Long Jump & Shotput. On this day, the Hamidia Degree College team was selected under the expert guidance of Mr Aqeel Abbas Rizvi, Sports instructor, Majidia Islamia Inter College. Students exhibited excellent sportsmanship and won competitions. The College team was finalised.
Day 2 – 18.1.25 – Self-defence Taekwondo training was held in the field of Hamidia Girls’ Degree College under the expert guidance of trainers, Ms. Muskan Pandey & Ms. Divyanshi Awasthi from Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium. 30 students of B A, B.Com & B.Voc participated and learnt the different techniques of self-defence if attacked from front.
Day 3 – 20.1.25 – The second round of Taekwondo training took place under the guidance of trainers. Additional 30 students participated on second day. They learnt the techniques to protect themselves if attacked by stalkers, chain snatchers.
Day 4 – 21.1.25 – Raheel Inter-School Sport s& Athletic Meet was held. Students from Majidia Islamia Inter College, Hamidia Inter College, Yaadgaar Hussaini lnter College & Unity Public School participated in Races 100 mts, 200& 400mts. They also participated in Long Jump & Shotput and displayed their athletic excellence.
Day 5 – 23.1.25 – The grand finale took place on 23rd January 2025 with the Degree College Sports entering the arena, featuring enthusiastic participation from SS Khanna Girls’ Degree College, CMP Degree College, Rajshree Tandon Degree College and Ewing Christian College.
Students of different Degree Colleges participated in 100-meter race, 200-meter race, 400-meter race, shot put, long jump. Students of Hamidia Girls’ Degree College formed the Pyramids and won accolades for themselves and the Sports Committee. These events highlighted the skills, dedication, and team spirit of the organizing Committee and also of the participants from schools and colleges.
The event was graced by the presence of the Principal, Hamidia Girls’ Degree College, Prof. Naseha Usmani, who commended the efforts of the students and the organizing team. The Sports Coordinator, Prof. Sabiha Azmi, played a crucial role in the seamless execution of the event, along with the valuable contributions of the Sports Committee Members—Dr. Amita Agarwal and Ms. Shahnaz Fatima Kazmi.
Raheel Intercollegiate Sports and Athletic Meet, 2025 successfully celebrated the essence of sports, teamwork, and healthy competition, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and spectators. The event concluded with great enthusiasm and appreciation for the organizing committee’s dedication and hard work.
